Evidence for Tents used in our period
There are only two types of tents that we have evidence for as being in use in our period.
These are the “A-frame tents” and the “geteld tents".
There are a few variations which we get onto later.
The A frame is evidenced by the actual tent frame finds from the Viking ship burials at Oseberg and Gokstad, whilst the Geteld has no actual finds, but is shown in medieval books, specifically The Utrecht Psalter.
