Duelling Guild

What is the Purpose of the Duelling Guild? The aim of the guild is to help members of The Vikings to explore and promote the historically accurate use of the round shield and period weapons in Viking Age combat. This is done through training, experimentation and research. The guild meets at events and they organize two annual training weekends. Most of the fighting style is derived from the Walpurgis Fechtbuch also known as manuscript 1.33. Roland Warzecha (known as The Dimicator) visited the guild members in 2017 & 18 to assist training with his interpretation of the manuscript. Guild members have worked and developed the style on their own since then.
