In Memoriam Duncan Holmes

Duncan was originally from Yorkshire, but having settled in Largs he was naturally drawn into re-enactment via the Largs Viking Festival, and after attending and photographing the event in 2005, he joined the society at the end of that year. He participated as a combatant and also in the LHE, but as a professional photographer his greatest legacy to the society is the thousands of photos he took at events all over Scotland and further afield. These were then freely published on social media for members to use, and many of them have been used in publicity material.
