Vanaheim was a group based in Manchester in the 1980s to 1990s. The Jarl of the group was Don Felton. Vanaheim was founded when the society was known as the Norse Film and Pageant Society (NFPS).
Typically members of the NFPS were either combatants or non-combatants, Vanaheim was unusual for the times with all members filling both roles at shows.
The group had the society's first Viking tents modelled on ship burials that could be used for sleeping in.
The name Vanaheim was later re-used by a different group based in York, the two groups are not related to each other, it's just too good a name to not recycle it!
