Wedding rings

Wedding rings are an anachronism where some degree of common sense is required.

While members of the Society may wish to remove wedding rings (e.g. to avoid damage in combat), this is a matter of personal choice – you are not required to do so on grounds of authenticity.

However, engagement rings with obviously modern-set diamonds are unlikely to be authentic. We would prefer it if you kept the stone turned so it isn’t conspicuous – though it may be safer to leave it at home, as a re-enactment event isn’t the best place to wear something of strong personal value.
