In an ideal world, we would like to see all garments fully hand-stitched. However, we appreciate that time can be a very precious resource, and so machine stitching is permitted – provided it isn’t obvious.

Machine stitching may be used on internal seams only. Visible sewing (e.g. hems) should be hand-sewn; if you do machine-sew it, please sew over by hand (so it’s probably quicker to do the job properly in the first place!).
