No complete pair of Viking trousers has ever been found, a gap in the clothing record so large that when the Danish national Museum decided in 1991 to outfit a Viking warrior for display, a pair of woolen trousers were used that were based on a pair about 1000 years too early. For our own purposes, this means that we have a large scope for substitution trousers.
Trousers should generally be straight legged and reasonably close fitting, not unlike modern jeans, but there are some more specialised options available if desired - though using them may mean you have to change the whole character of your kit as some of them are limited to specific timelines or cultures.
